Yesh! That’s the ever young-looking Lucy Torres-Gomez fashioning the summer ‘heatwave’ on the cover of Preview in Louis Vuitton pieces. I just want to quote Ms. Lucy on her thoughts about fashion which I find really humbling.
“Fashion? It’s just there for you to have fun with, not to obsess about. It shouldn’t dictate your life or mold your world. There are far more important things than having the latest bag or latest shoes.”
And one thing, sobrang puti ni Lucy! Yun lang pow.. voila v!
Preview November 2007 | Preview January-February 2009
Nothing beats Preview! This is Kris Aquino’s take two for the magazine and I have to admit I love it! I’m actually thrilled when stylebible.ph posted the current cover shot but it was until the 2nd week of this month that I got myself a copy. I kinda wonder though why Preview appears constantly late on the mag racks here in Cebu unlike Metro and Mega who find their advance issues way ahead on the mag stores days prior the month end. Hmmmm.. I think team Preview should check on this.
Moving along, I’m delighted to see Ms. K on the front gloss again! She looks so light and fresh in a white dress from JC Buendia. I’m a super fan of Kris Aquino. Her cheeky life and random kataklesahan in live TV fascinates me much apart from we both share same zodiac (Aquarius). Speaking of which I’m gonna be celebrating my birthday next week. Yey! Winner! In this issue Kris talks about Hatha yoga as a piece of her crusade for better health, growth and maturity. She talks how Preview ladies (Pauline Juan and Liz Uy) influenced her to wearing closed shoes and considering her Fendi pumps her all-time favorite. Also, Pauline Juan writes about crisis management in fashion and taking on the term “frugalista” for budget-fashionista out there. This issue is indeed a fresh start for the Ox year. Preview pops much with their free trend report for Spring/Summer 2009. vi-a-v!

Okey everyone! Here goes the cover shot of Preview Magazine December 2008 issue. Now tell me who the covergirl is? Anne Curtis in take three is dat u? Kaye Brosas is tat chu? Girl it’s Rhian Ramos! Gotcha! You see what I’m saying here.. This cover had me do a second look when I saw it fresh on the mag rack. I can’t believe it took me few secs to recognize Rhian. Or probably I’m just getting old and my eyes need a little upgrade. I applaud Preview for coming up another bold cover but I sense quite a max photochopping done there. I’m not against it coz I love being photochopped too. It’s just that my failure to identify Rhian means there’s something odd on the front gloss.. I think.. Or is it just me.. Whatevs! Anyhow, the editorial was ultra luxe in Ferragamo pieces from their 80th anniversary collection. She donned coats from suede sequined to fur collared and a number of dresses posing on top of an XK Jaguar convertible car. Expensiveness! I think Rhian is a model potential. She’s young at 18 and her long legs and strong facial points made the look. But what’s interesting is her philanthropic commitment for Greenpeace and A Better Chance Foundation. Not only she get herself involve into those good-cause orgs but she’s surprisingly open to adoption like Angelina Jolie.. Now that’s my girl! I’ll really look forward to her baby collectibles. Go! Go! Go! vi-a-v!

‘Barrio Fiesta’ heiress Heart Evangelista is on the cover of Preview November 2008 issue. Oh dear she’s just flawless! I was never a fan of hers but she’s an obvious fine-looking rich girl in the local showbiz. I remember seeing her in the mall way before college with no make-up and girl she’s petite and so pretty. High-maintenance and luxurious sweetheart she is..
And going to the cover shot which I find a little interesting with the ‘face-only’ focus trend they did. I haven’t seen much of this from their back issues nevertheless it’s a cute swing from Preview to cover it and once again a job well done to the team. The editorials too are stunning! Heart donned Jun Escario’s cheongsams inspired lace pieces which are immaculate at 25,000 pesosesoses.. Just wow! Additionally, this months issue also features Cebu sizzlers from local designers to fine chow-time restos to hotspots. Excellent combo for this month’s issue. I love Preview Magazine and I love papi Rich! vi-a-v!

It’s my minor obsession to be on their cover but as the world knows, I’m not a celebrity so scrap it! Anyhow, what do you think of my photoshop skills? Can I already make money out of it? Hahaha! Whatever! I know that my “gift” on multimedia arts is far below average but I assume I did a quite good job on this noh. What do you think?
By the way, the cover was shot at the ‘man-made’ forest in Bohol. Indeed such a beautiful sight! I never thought it was artificial in that sense and I’ll definitely gonna be back there soon.. As always vi-a-v everyone!

Lookie lookie who glared on the cover of July PREVIEW Mag! Ms. Angel Aquino in a hand-painted piña wrap piece from Puey Quiñones! I love and I knew it! Named as this year’s (2008) Best-Dressed, she totally deserves it! I love AA. She’s an epitome of modern Filipina who manages to balance everything in life – busy career and family commitment. No wonder she’s so blessed. What can I say?.. She’s one beautiful woman with a pure heart and an effortless feminine taste in fashion. Someone whom you can to look up to. Isn’t she just so glamorosa as I am?.. I know right?.. hehehe..
