Here’s something from the Paris Fashion Week. Lanvin’s Spring 2008 RTW dress and Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 RTW. Something in common noh? But both are no doubt stunning! I kinda just wonder where MJ got the idea of the moss green frock on ostrich feathers for his LV S09 collection since there’s this sense of resemblance of design from that of Mr. Elbaz’s Lanvin Spring 08 RTW. Just kidding! Somehow it made me think that fashion is a reinvention of design for the celebration of beauty! Agree? vi-a-v!

Let’s talk about lenses, shall we?.. As a person with bad eyesight at an early age of 17, wearing eyeglasses has been the most common way for me to alternatively get a clearer view of all my papito cholo prospects out there.. But using clear contacts is considerably a better option for me to look natural without giving hints to people how I struggle recognizing things at far.. Now, how would you feel, my dear reader about putting on a pair of contact lenses studded with Swarovski crystals?..
Everyone!
Behold the creation of Anthony Mailler who won the 2nd prize in ‘Crystal Vision’ competition co-organized by designboom and Swarovski.

Sparkling and glittering that is! So what do you think?.. Will you ever go for this bling-bling on your eyeballs? I personally think it’s cute.. That’s all.. vi-a-v!

Aren’t they so cute?.. I know! Having those bright candy colored wristwatches can definitely make you look yummier. Yellow, pink, blue, green and orange and voila v! Hotter than ever! Nice to know that rainbow color trend is still moving up to these days and wearing one is like going back to the trend of 80’s striking hues. Amazing noh! I’d love to have one of those Toy Watch Neon Chronograph Plasteramics above and I’ll go for yellow submarine and atomic orange and everything that I can snag! Ha! I wish! LOL! The collection is just so sweet noh! Playing matchy-matchy with the variation of colors and have a lot of fun.. Hmmm.. So what’s your pick?.. And mind you my dear it’s 250 jaw-dropping dollars so beware. You don’t wanna starve in vain for weeks after the grab, do you? Hehehe.. I guess we need to sweat more for cold cash then and say goodbye to high time neons for now. vi-a-v! But I’m thinking of investing on that! Big Joke! Hihihi..
I just got a fresh copy of Preview magazine September 2008 issue and I’m honestly not so happy seeing Bea Alonzo on the cover again.. Not that I’m being an anti-Bea here (i do adore her beauty fyi) but seriously, seeing her a number of times on the front gloss of Preview and the rest of our local fashion mags is visually tiring.. Maybe I’m just too insecure to admit that she’s uberly gorgeous than I am and that I’ve always dreamed of taking her spot.. LOL! But haven’t you guys notice that almost every local fashion magazine masks the common faces of our showbiz ladies. Name it: the big guns in Dos and Siete.. They always seem to grace on their covers and define cliché, repeat, or whatever you call it.. Please don’t shoot me with this.. In my opinion, it would be refreshing sometimes to feature local supermodels like Ana Sideco or Ria Bolivar or the ever sophisticated Divine Lee and do glimpse of their private career lives in full circle within those mags, noh? Or probably yours truly Bena gay weerking it in pure queerness on their editorials.. Why not model.com?! LOL! Enough choo-cha-chika and just log on to stylebible.ph. It’s the new online ‘it’ thing for the hardcore and wannabe fashionistas alike.. Hihihi! Yebah! vi-a-v! (photo: stylebible.ph)
Attention Noypis! We have another reason to celebrate and be proud of our roots again! Yep, you read that right! If you guys don’t know this yet, our very own US-based Pinay Joanne Cordero Reyes is making big name in the land of Hollywood as a fashion designer under her own label Vicente Villarin. Say hello to Monique Lhuiller now! And take note! nymag.com considered her as one of the fresh designers to watch for this season. How’s that! Mabuhay noh!
As a fashioning fag I can’t get enough of watching fashion videos online. It’s one ultimate hobby I enjoy doing.. I even do downloads to some of my favorites and keep copy for myself for recap sake since videostreaming online can be intolerant (hello buffering!) at times specially when you’re getting not so good connection.. With the F/W 2008 fashion shows over just a year ago, might as well share with you my much loved of the season which is no other than Lanvin. I know it’s high fashion people and please don’t drag my undeserving cheapskate self on this! Wookey?! Moving forward, I personally find the entire collection gorgeous! Simply adorable clothes from details to the accessories and what I like most is that they’re very feminine and wearable. And talking about the models, major fierceness! And I looove how Olga Sherer opened the show. Mahadera talaga noh! LOL! Not to mention the music too, which by the way I’ve been searching online for months already but still in vain.. If anyone of you happens to have the soundtrack of the fashion show.. Pulezzzz, i beg you… Share with me that piece for my wellness..
“I find it, there’s a lot of thinking to do and yet fashion is everything but intellectual. Because you know at the end of the day, it’s a beautiful clothe you have in your closet. So when you wake up in the morning, you don’t want to have a discussion to yourself. You just look at the clothes and one day you want to be sexy, and one day you want to look like your mother and one day you want to look like a little sexy number and one day you want to look like a police lady.. And this is the all beauty of fashion…” - Alber Elbaz
Watchathink?.. Isn’t Alber simply genius and understated?.. And huggable too?.. Hihihi.. Agree and vi-a-v!
I just got back to work the other day and I’m still a little exhausted from my 1 week rampage.. Longer snooze is what I need this time and a full body massage would be a perfect pamper.. Zen Spa or Aviary Spa?.. Ya’know what I’m thinking! Hahaha! Enough sissyfication! Now that I’m back in my usual fab fag programming here, let me share with you what I’ve found over the net few weeks ago. I never knew that Gemma Ward made the inaugural cover for both Vogue China-September 2005 and Vogue India-October 2007 (this simply indicates how a cheap-ass fashion wannabe I am not knowing this news at its freshness). Lol! Sweet! Gemma Ward is one of my favorite models of the planet. She’s simply divine! She’s one of the reasons why I still die-hard being a supermodel even to these horror days despite the fact that the slimmest of the chance it will ever happen is up there hanging for ages already. Imagine doing multiple ad campaigns for high fashion. That’s total bazooka! She’s young, she’s rich and infamous and she reflects the package of a successful model. Just the way I wanted.. However, big dreams don’t just come true in a snap. Not unless you work hard your cheap ass to achieve it. Oh well, guess I need to sleep more to pull off my sagging dream of becoming an ‘it’ model even just for 3 hrs I think.. Tik-tak-tik-tak-tik-tak..
Going back to my late discovery from the archives of glossy Vogue, I fairly don’t see much worth of putting a foreign blonde face to an inaugural cover launch like of Vogue congee and shawarma. In my opinion, the idea of having a blonde girl on a native cover, together with a cast of the original race is somewhat not impressive for me and connotes overpowering the local beauty which should not be the case. East-meets-West inspiration or East(Aussie Gemma)-meets-East(exotic Asians) that is… But overall both covers are stunning!

Gladiators! Indeed such a definite ‘it’ thing and undoubtedly one of the best shoe trends of the Spring/Summer 2008 season collection. I know that S/S08 fashion is already outdated but whatevs! I just think that this platform piece is as timeless as it had been back in the Roman ages, which for me means can be slipped on whenever you feel like being a Roman goddess.. Heavy noh! Personally, I don’t really consider following season trends. It’s way too expensive and just vanishes in time. So what’s the big point, right?! Joke! Well, it is for the high-profile hardcore fashionistas but not for me.. You know I’m not a trendsetter bibo.. Just a fab fag at its cheapness! Hihihi..
Going back to the glads, I’ve been haunted on the idea of having one for myself. Really! It’s a must-have for me! So there, off I search to footwear boutiques and department stores to sneak any gladiator sandals available but sadly didn’t find one. Not even its shadows. I checked online and found bunch of them (super nice gladiators - cheap, affordable, mega expensive!) but online shopping is not a comfy option for me. Ya’know, hassle in shipping and all and to be honest, I’m a boondok with those online transactions ek-ek. So I thought, that maybe god doesn’t really allow me to have glads because he knows how ugly my feet are. But the thing is, I wanna have one.. That’s it! And brat as I’m becoming a voice somewhere told me to enter PROMOD boutique. Off I went there and voila v! I can’t believe what I’m seeing. A beautiful pair of gladiator sandals waiting for me. My prayer had been answered! Thank goodness! I rushed to try it and it looks beautiful on my freakin-looking feet.. But! But! But! It’s 2,295 pesoses and beyond the budget I set for it.. Damnit! It’s the end! It just popped my bubbles! That’s it! I’ll never have one for the entirety of my life..
But miracle does happen people so you gotta believe in it. Two months went by and I got myself back to PROMOD! Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! My baby is on sale!!! From 2,295 down to 1,495! Winner!!! So, I did not waste any single minute and immediately asked the very accommodating saleslady to bring me the last pair of my size (39) and there I have it!
I’m back to being pretty again! LOL! Happy to have gladiators on my feet.. Simply love it!! vi-a-v everyone!~
Awright people! To those of you out there who dreamed of becoming a runway queen watch this clip closely, hold your breath, and think again? This might change your mind but meeeehhh.. I’ll definitely conquer all.. Remember.. No pain no glory! LOL! Just look how Jessica Stam werrkk it at 2:00.. Ouchness noh? Poor Stam.. Just kiddin! Enjoy the vid!

Olga Sherer for Lanvin S/S 2008! This is sooo fierce! I thought it was over but she did it again for Mr. Elbaz! So sweet noh! Personally, I think that everything is amazingly depicted in this ad campaign - the background, the colors, the dress and of course, the wicked looking Olga in high fashion! So spooooky! Hihihi! Need to say more? Harvat Olga! Harvat!
