I want this Canon!

Okey. I have to let go of my feeling. I’m honestly desperate of having an SLR cam. I know I know… I obviously don’t have any artistic eye-and-hand combo to take beautiful and moving shots or what have you. But you know what, I love taking pictures lately. I realize how fulfilling it can be to some point especially in your most boring days. Camwhoring in full magnum if you know what I mean. I only post fabulous portraits of me in this blog so expect the bias. Hehehe.. Anyhow, I’m a happy owner of my Canon IXUS 80 IS cam since Feb of this year but I’m thinking of upgrading my baby. Probably to this – CANON PowerShot S5 IS.

A true shutter piece! I’m not in any manner an expert when it comes to gadgets. But this one looks cool to me. Not to mention the heavy price tag on top it which made me realize again I’m too poor to have this. A reminder that I should stop this delusion once and for all if I still want to live longer. Hahaha! Guess have to settle for Canon IXUS baby for now which I dearly love by the way.. Hayyss. vi-a-v as always!

I don’t know if you’ve known about it but they actually had this promo called ‘Geared To Love’ which run from Feb. 14 to March 15, 2009. Part of that hype is a FREE designer perfume you’ll receive when you get to purchase their Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS at a discounted price of P15,950 from the original value of P17,950. Champion di va?.. You know how I love freebies and imagine my delight when I received the perfume. I did feel that I made a right choice of buying the digicam in promo. Getting a super chic free stuff out of shopping something is an absolute worthy pick. And to think, the value of the perfume in retail is close to P4,000. Hah! That sounds more than a cherry topping on an ice cream. It’s a pure reminder that in these recession days, you really have to make a smart choice out of your purchasing power. Check? Check! vi-a-v!

Yes! Finally it is! After straight wakeful nights of deciding if I’m gonna hit it or not? Behold! The universe is so kind it conspired with the fabulous goddesses to hand me the most beautiful gift to date.. The Canon IXUS 80 IS in blue! I love it mucho! And check out my practice shot.

I’m very much overwhelmed! You see, things do happen if you’re so dang willed to realize it. And thanks to my clever little plastic card for making this dream come true for me.. As if! LOL! I know what you’re thinking there.. Whatevs! If you excuse me, I still need some time here to work this beautiful camera in full force.. Ahem.. vi-a-v!

The perfect gift..

ixus80is1 And this is what’s haunting me lately – a Canon IXUS 80 IS! Boy! I’ve had sleepless nights thinking of getting myself one of these fab cameras. To count I haven’t bought something for myself as my birthday present this year and I thought this would be the perfect gift. Knowing I’m a self-confessed camwhore, this piece is fair enough for me I guess. Besides it had passed my standards in terms of picture quality, reasonable value and not to mention its basic functionality for a beginner like me. I checked with the Sony Cyber-shots but the one I like (DSC-T700) which is by the way so chica looking is way over my budget and can’t afford to crack my bank account for that single gadget. The Olympus cameras were nice though but I just don’t like the form and picture quality was not impressive as I thought it was. I don’t know. You tell me coz I’m honestly not a photo gadget geeko. However, this Canon IXUS 80 IS is definitely in my hotlist for now. Will I hit this or not? Hmmm… Think.. Think.. Think..
