I so need a vacation now! Work has been quite demanding lately or should I say I’m just too overwhelmed with the volume of phone calls coming in, which I’m honestly not used to. Let me remind myself how I love my work, awright?.. Go!

Anyhow, I’m thinking of going to the beach to chillax and cool off. Probably to Moalboal or Bantayan. Imagine the scenic beauty of the beachfront view from the cottage with all the rustic furnitures, the sea, the sun, and the sand. Sooo summer in July. Hayyy.. I have to plan this and make it happen! Campers anyone?.. vi-a-v!

Spotted! Charo on the homepage of style.com? Check!

In any case you have no idea who this fine-looking girl is, well, she’s Ms. Charo Ronquillo. A pure blooded Pinay who graced 3rd place in 2006 Supermodel World Finals in New York City grabbing a whopping $100,000 contract with Ford Models. Now that’s our girl! I don’t know with you but her 1×1 pic (from Ellie Tahari Fall 2009 RTW) on the frontpage of the ultimate fashion online bible (hello!) is for me a huge deal. I mean, who among the hundreds of models out there, particularly Asians, are chanced even just a tiny spot in style.com. You tell me. I guess I’m kinda overreacting here but seeing a fellow Mabuhay girl in an international fashion scene is pure bliss for me. So what!

It’s been ages since I’ve seen a Pinay on the fashion catwalk of NYC. I just wish more! Hope to see Charo walk extra fashion shows or belt on ad campaigns for her portfolio. On the other hand, I suggest Ms. Charo to gulp more liters of Cherifer and trim some body excess. Joke! I love Charo! Keep walking girl and you can make it big time! vi-a-v!

Am back..

And my 1 week blog silence is finally over! Yes! I’m officially back here in Cebu (for work, work, work that is). I arrived yesterday around 6:oopm via Cebu Pacific ATR 42/72 fleet. It was a fast flight at 45 minutes compared to Supercat sea fastcraft which is sure to consume almost 3 hours of your travel time. As you all know traveling by air can be quite expensive but considering comfort and express voyage then it’s definitely the best mode of long distance transpo.

And how’s everyone’s vacay? Hope you guys had a great time. I must admit, I’m not yet totally over it and find 1 week not enough. You know the feeling when you get to spend holidays in your hometown (side by side affairs with friends and family) and you just wish not to go back if not for your professional responsibilities and all. That’s how I exactly feel before heading back here. But then again, I MUST work to live and suffice my every petty indulgence.

For the meantime, I took this snapshot when we pass through the strait between the islands of Cebu and Leyte.

The view is absolutely breathtaking. I seized the opportunity to capture this sight since it’s not something I don’t spot everyday. You see, what I like most about air travel is the feeling that you’re thousands feet high and the mood that the sky is just within your reach and you’re above the clouds. Simply extraordinary! Though there are times that I can’t escape certain paranoia of the plane flipping downward bursting in flames. Kalokring.. Hahaha..

FYI to my constant textmates: My phone is busted again and is currently going through some repairs which means that I have no telecomm access since lunchtime yesterday. Me no longer likey likey my phonie.. It’s causing me major headache. That’s all and Mabuhay to be back! vi-a-v!

I’m off to my Leyte roots later today for a week long Simana Santa retreat. You know what this means, a blessed time for self-reflection and abstinence practice. Have a meaningful Holy Week to you all.. vi-a-v!

Davao Escapade Part 2

And this is so outdated! I should’ve posted this days right after the Davao City experience. It took me a while to compile every photo and there were some mild changes with my schedule which I had a little hard time keeping up. Anyhow, here’s the link to our camshots galore in Pearl Farm Resort, Eden Garden Park, Crocodile Farm, Jack Ridge, People’s Park and of course the Apo View Hotel where we had our accommodation. I enjoyed every bit of experience I had in Davao! Promise! Happy Holidays to all and vi-a-v!

Davao Escapade Part 1

I’m back! I’m back from DC! Davao City that is. Hehehe.. I know I had a long blog break. Oh well, life is getting busier these days which I kinda like somehow. Who wouldn’t? Christmas is just so around the corner noh. And talking about my Davao escapade? Fantastic! I love Davao! That’s the truth for now at least.. I honestly fell in love with the capital and I never imagined how it can be 70% or probably 80% trash-free unlike any other provincial cities I went to base on my personal cleanometer. Promise! Even Cebu City is no match. What I like about Davao is how serious their local government in implementing its city ordinance. Public smoking is not tolerated and no littering allowed. In short, you gotta hold your horses in complying to the city rules if you don’t wanna end up with pesoses fines and do community service for a day. And to take note, political figures and celebrities alike are not exempted to the rules. So be very careful..

That’s all for now and I’ll promise to make a separate entry with our camwhoring at its finest. Charot! Hehehe! For the meantime, here some of the pics.

Bang! I’M BACK!

img-3542

Hollaaahh! 8 straight days from blog hibernation and I’m all out back! I know! 5 days in Manila plus 3 days in my Leyte roots equals to major fun! Supahhr dupahh! Right after my graveyard work on Wednesday last week, I went straight ahead to the airport to catch my 12:05nn flight to Manila and for the life of me did not waste any chica get-together with my lovely friends here and there. In fact, I felt like a superstar on the snatch which I purely love! Ya’know! Attention is what keeps me glowing like a Swarovski crystal noh! Cherfer! Hihihi.. Honestly, I already miss my crazy friends back at the metro. *Sob* Being away from a circle whom you’ve spent much time doing crazy stuff back in your college days is somewhat heartbreaking. They’re your outside family. You’re major outlet when you wake up having a very frizzy hair.. Hayyy.. Friends for keeps to my Pampams and B-Street Gang! Love you peeps and pimps! Bena is missing you mucho already… Til my next visit..

Anyhoo, I was once again sleep deprived in the entirety of my stay there but whatevs! My energizer bunny almost failed but this opportunity seldom happens so Go! Go! Go! Besides I’m not filthy rich to travel anytime I want. Despite the fact that I’m such a thrifty pig, time is not an easy hold for me as well. So, with all that being said, I’m happy to be back my dear sweets! Hate or love it! Bang! I’M BACK! vi-a-v! moi bena!
