Happy Oh-Nine!

It’s the 5th of January year Ox-2009 and this may seem a little late to welcome everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR! But yeah, as they say better late than never so here I am with this rush greeting. I hope you guys had a spectacular blast celebrating New Year with your loved ones coz i did!

Anyhow, I was on a 5-day holiday break back in my rural roots in Leyte. I’m glad to celebrate New Year with my family this time. It was a homely affair. Nothing beats such festivity in the presence of your beloved circle. Speaking of which, you wouldn’t believe that a major black-out took place seconds right after the clock hits 2009. You can imagine our random reactions then. I myself was a little infuriated but relieved to control my foul mouth despite the black-out. Anong pecha na talaga noh?! Doesn’t seem nice to start the year right I guess. That’s what I thought so. You know me, I’m a mad superstitious believer. Expect all the crazy things clouding my mind when the black-out happened. All those crappy what ifs ya’know. LOL!

Meanwhile, I’ve been taking my time in thinking over the old year and the New Year. It seems to always be a natural time of reflection and anticipation as to what’s store for me this year.  All I can say is that I’m so blessed to what I’ve accomplished last year. I just pray that this year would be more fruitful than ever. Sure that it’s gonna be an all out exciting and challenging 2009 for everyone! Cheers!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! vi-a-v!

My new BFF - Laa Laa

O-MY! It’s 18 hours before Christmas Eve and I’m sitting here in front of my computer waiting some love. I could have gone home but work demands more of my time so I’m left with no choice but to stick myself down here. I got a call from my mom last night asking if I can make it this Christmas Eve and I answered with a shrunken ‘NO’. It makes me hate myself every time I miss special occasions like this with my family. I know that I should be spending it with them but I guess this is the price I have to pay for getting this job. Joke! I love my work noh.. But I’m sure to go home this New Year whatever it takes. Period.

Anyhow, I got myself a little gift. It’s yellow, it’s cuddly and it’s Laa Laa from the Teletubbies! I’ve been wanting to have a teddy months ago and Laa Laa is such a perfect present for me. I’m honestly not a fan of the Teletubbies coz I find them strange looking but when I came across Laa Laa yesterday in a bazaar stall, I got hooked up with her color and bolt-like shape on the top of her head. I can really feel that me and Laa Laa will completely get along together coz we’re both gays. LOL! Meanwhile, here’s my pichuran session with my new BFF Laa Laa girl.

I love Laa Laa! Nice… vi-a-v!

My kind of house…

I have always been so obsessive of having my own house with all the decorations and furniture of my choice. But reality check again peeps that I don’t poo hard cash right there and then so let’s just pretend and be hopeful that someday I will own one. Fingers crossed here! And since I mentioned about owning a house and all, might as well share with you my mild preferences of having a personal crib. Voila v! My major consideration is nonetheless the space. As much as possible it has to be roomy to accommodate my personal picked furniture and interior décor. Though I love minimalism I still kinda feel the oriental touch on my pieces. I adore modern wall hues, edgy looking decors, flat yet oriental furniture and even rugs for floor ornament. Hefty sets are not my thing. And talking about rugs, I’ll avail on cheap rugs which at the same time do not compromise style and quality. I’m a thrifty pig, so I don’t dwell much on mega expensive pieces not unless it’s a must-have for me or else I’m gonna die of not having it. Joke! When it comes to picking furniture, ‘Victorian’ style is definitely out of my taste. I’m not a fan of crystal chandeliers and anything which signifies the ‘Victorian’ luxe. Even for area rugs, I’ll absolutely go for the modern colors, shapes, and geometric or abstract print. And another thing is I love landscaping! It’s something that my house should have. With all these wishful thinking said, I wonder when can I have my own house.. vi-a-v as always!

My new fugly look

The goddesses had spoken. I need to have my haircut and prophecy granted! I honestly hate myself why I did this. Well, it was due to my parents planned visit this coming weekend and it ringed me to do ‘transformer’ again.. LOL! You know how a fake closet fag I am. This hide my-true-self-thing-infront-of-my-family is really causing me emotional distress. Promise! I never had the balls to let my familia know how fab and chic their son is for like 23 years of my existence. I guess the right time will just come for this BIG revelation thing to happen.. And when I speak BIG, it’s really BIG with buffet and fireworks display. Hahaha!

Anyhow, it was funny coz when I talked to my stylist KC of Bench Fix SM Cebu (thanks KC!), I instantly told him to give me the ‘Amy Perez’ look. And viola v! Pera o Bayong is me! LOL!

I know I don’t look like Amy Perez with my new hair but a hideous looking horse. *whine whine whine* Right?.. Hahaha! I was hoping for an least quite masculine appeal but I turned out to be a conservative looking bulldyke instead.. ‘Pre, pa-buenas naman dyan.’ Hahaha! Ewwww! vi-a-v!

Pose-ah!

Whew! Two weeks after and I’m back with my regular programming here at last! I miss and I love this space! More to share soon.. vi-a-v everyone!

I love Ronald Mcdonald

Bena loves Ronald Mcdonald! And a little series lights around us would make us a perfect Christmas decor noh? LOL! You’ll never go wrong with red, green and yellow when you go to Mcdo. There’ll be this sense of belongingness when you get in dashing those fab colors.. Hahaha! That’s all for today! As always voila v chicaritos! Poof!

Going abroad

Life here in the tropics is getting tougher each day. We all know how the latest economic crunch is impacting every hardworking individual in this nation so do the rest of the world. I’m honestly not inclined reading business updates may it be online or in a newspaper but the financial crises we’re currently getting into is moving me into a position to be more sensitive when finances come into matter. Who wouldn’t? We are professionals and we earn money for a living for our daily survival. I don’t want to end up in a money nightmare due to my debits in life. Hahaha! That’s why I’m working double shift to whatever ways I can make money to minimize my payables. Obviously, my impulse-buying side is drowning me insane. As much as I wanted to slash parts of my CC balance but when mark-down mall days come my clever little plastic card just shout the heck out of me to swipe ‘her’ into those terminals. And there you have it! Bad B!

Anyhow, I have been thinking lately of going somewhere else for greener pasture – abroad! I know! I guess almost each and everyone of us wishes to go and work overseas for we know how higher value we can take home from there. However, opportunities take the lead. So goodluck!

I chatted with my friend the other week who happens to be a Medical Technologist in a hospital in Seattle, Washington. He arrived there June of this year and he has earned enough already which made me envy. Hahaha! Joke! You know how an envious fag I am. Nevertheless, I’m happy for him and I know how he worked hard for it. I’ve tried searching jobs online in the US and came across this New Jersey Legal Jobs which lists professions on attorneys and other legal opportunities. It was pretty funny how I reached those lists. I’m obviously not a graduate of any law-related field courses neither interest on that. However, going through the directory I kinda thought how expensive you can be being a corporate attorney noh?.. Hmm.. Probably I need a shift here. Just kidding! Hehehe! As always.. vi-a-v!

Bena for Preview

I love PREVIEW and my photo-chopping skills made me this! Check it out yoh! LOL!

It’s my minor obsession to be on their cover but as the world knows, I’m not a celebrity so scrap it! Anyhow, what do you think of my photoshop skills? Can I already make money out of it? Hahaha! Whatever! I know that my “gift” on multimedia arts is far below average but I assume I did a quite good job on this noh. What do you think?

By the way, the cover was shot at the ‘man-made’ forest in Bohol. Indeed such a beautiful sight! I never thought it was artificial in that sense and I’ll definitely gonna be back there soon.. As always vi-a-v everyone!

I’m in love!

I know I haven’t been updating for the past couple of days. Thanks for my fever and I missed 18 hours of work following my 2 straight rest days. Getting fever is the worst thing that can happen to you, most especially when you don’t have any family members around to take care of your tiny needs which is my unfortunate case. Hmp! I got sick after having the flu vaccine on Thursday afternoon. It’s pretty insane actually coz I never had this chilly feeling way back last year when I had it. Except some wee hours of my left arm numbing. I was warned beforehand by the nurse aide that I may experience chillness after vaccination but I was pretty confident it wouldn’t be extreme. And surprise! Fever struck my fragile body system! Bad cheetah! For 2 days I was in a slumber mode feeling weak and useless. I did not bother taking any meds since I know it’s a usual body effect after immunization. So far I’m good and ready for work tonight.. I miss work! Promise! I hope this chilly feeling will totally vanish ASAP..

Meanwhile, there’s a new papito cholo in my neighborhood and his name is Richard. I know! Hombre! Hombre! We’re not friends yet and haven’t personally talked. I just heard his friends calling him by that name so I know it’s him. LOL! He’s been in this area for months already but not until last week when I was able to lay my dirty eyes over him. Hahaha! He’s tall at 5’8 (and I’m 5′6), moreno complexion, nice body built, quite good-looking (for me) and he’s a college freshman. Bam wham! Hahaha! I don’t have the exact details yet as to what course he’s taking but what I know for now is he’s in an Aeronautics school. This is it! He’s my new somebody I look forward to when going home this time. A spice in my life I would say! Hahaha! Shocks! I don’t even know how to get started in befriending papa Rich.. You know me, I’m shy when it comes to guys.. Can this be love I’m feeling right now?.. Hahaha!

I seriously thought that this humble chica blogsite would be free from any online hassle stoppage or whatever you call it. I’m not a techie person so spare me of the terms. Everyone knows how undersized my web cocoon is and I prematurely assumed that I’m totally exempted with those server/database-down situations. But not until the other day when it actually happened to my site which had caused major panic in my nerves. I know it’s not severity critical case but the setback idea as for how long this will run is definitely alarming for me. I checked the website of my friend whose bucket I’m in for this domain and it was purely okey and the rest of her sites too are working perfectly fine.. I was like, what the heck is happening! Am I being hacked or something? As if! LOL! But honestly, I was in a real state of worry upon knowing the situation. Who would have thought that all of the sudden you’re gonna be contained in such tight spot while just doing minor updates in your site.. Crazy! Since I was down helpless and bothering my friend was not a good option that time, I just waited for 5 hours and thankgoodgraciousness it went back! What a major relief! I just hope that if ever this happens again, I’m in my sweet snooze mode.. Goodluck to me! Hihihi..
