I’m still in awe of happened last weekend in Metro Manila. Super! Frankly speaking, it scared me coz I know for a fact that it can happen anywhere else and anytime. Too bad people were caught unprepared. I know some people who were badly hit of Ondoy’s fury but super thankful to know that they’re alive and somehow okey. God knows how grateful I am that we’re spared here in Cebu.

At here goes si bagyo PARMA na supertyphoon daw (Category 4 to 5).

And to the Luzon people, just be prepared and above all PRAY that it goes away. God Bless the Philippines..

I guess every Filipino saw this coming knowing her critical health condition. I was a bit shocked when I found out about her passing this morning. Probably due to the fact that she was once the President of this third world nation and how she caused major democratic change. I don’t have much memories of her back in those days except she was hailed the President through EDSA revolution.

Amazing eh?.. I really admire how SM makes new technology within reach to the Pinoy people. This IMAX thing really opens a new experience to movie goers in the ViMinda regions. I mean, we need not to go North to feel the thrill. Sadly, when I had my last visit to Manila last year I totally missed the chance to go movie the IMAX way. But as they say, things happen when you least expect it. And truly, madly, deeply – SM has it all! Yeyy to SM and go for the IMAX! Excited na oka! voila-v!

Damn! I’ve never felt this freezing cold for the past months. In or out of my crib, everywhere seems to be madly chilled. I’ve always thought that December has the icy zero of all months but I guess I have to take that back. Weather is getting cold here starting last week and I somehow love it. I just find it quite unusual that our climate has gone this much cold. Hmmm.. Global warming is tat chu? Anyway, I have to make most of this dropping temperature for now. Enjoy enjoy enjoy! That if my balls can. Hahaha! It’s not a year round season that we can always take our jackets out for rampage. So go! go! go! And here’s a 5-day weather forecast for Cebu City from Yahoo!

yahoo_weather

Omigirl! We won’t be getting a good sunny sunshine weather this Sinulog (Sunday). *sob* Not a good sign for everyone. Hope that’ll change. But whatevs! Rain or shine beat those big percussions on! vi-a-v!

MacBook Wheel?

Behold the latest in the revolutionary notebook innovation! The MacBook Wheel! I’m certainly not a gadget geeko but this one is a shocker for me. Apple developed a very ‘intuitive’ laptop which does away with keyboard replacing it with a smooth touch sensitive click wheel for navigation like the iPod. Watch the video for more on this.

My verdict?! Definitely simple but doesn’t sound efficient. Not a thing for me even. I find the idea of the big click wheel cute to steer throughout the system but making ‘typing’ a thing in the past with this MacBook Wheel? I disagree much. Just see how Mr. Gilman had a hard time typing. Hilarity much! I don’t think people will ditch keyboard over this. Apple should reconsider in putting this out to market. Seems like a joke to me. Watyathink?

PS: You wouldn’t believe that this is  a spoof vid made by The Onion Network, would you? Shootness talaga! Looks sorealzz.. Simply well put. Bravo! Hahaha! vi-a-v!

The US election is over and America voted for Obama. Now, here’s a video of Matt Daemon’s commentary on the possibility if Sarah Palin won the position.

And boy I extremely agree with him! You can really see his discontent on the given chance if Ms. Palin won and absolute no room for approval in his words there. I haven’t kept track of the US Election but I’ve seen and read over the internet who Sarah Palin is. She’s one hot mamita but I don’t feel her competence as leader of a global-powerhouse nation. In my opinion, her political views are afar from Americans (and the rest of the world) expectations of a leader for a positive change. And US made the right choice for Obama. That’s all and topic closed.. Poof! vi-a-v!

Amazing grandeur! That’s how I describe it! I just finished watching the opening of 2008 Beijing Olympics (thanks to YouTube) and I’m so awed with the overall event. I’ve never seen such marvelous pageantry of eye-popping fireworks to jaw-dropping costumes to wow performances and even how the Olympic Flame was lit.. Magnifique! Chinese really knows how to weerrrkk it! Indeed, made in China! Hihihi.. But what caught me is this shot of these two global big guns and a photo intruder?.. You know who.. Look closely.. Familiar huh?.. Spotted.. Her Excellency! Hmmm.. Hihihi..

How nice! China will then be again $1 billion richer ever! That if the thousand Chinese earthquake victims will win the pot from filing suit against Sharon Stone’s sensitive comments on Sichuan’s catastrophic earthquake. Take note, they’re gonna be expensively stalking Ms. Stone for condemning the situation as ‘karma’ over China’s occupation on Tibet. Which ended up to be an unexpected one-billion-dollar karma on her part.  tsk.. tsk.. tsk..

It’s pretty sad though how an iconic celebrity like Ms. Stone made such a clumsy remark. I mean, freedom of speech is a prerogative anyone has but you have to carefully fit it depending on the culture, society, background, etc. you’re gonna be throwing it on. Remember the Claire Danes issue back in 1998 when she visited Philippines and commented how ghastly and weird Manila as a city? It created such bang to the entire Filipino community leading her to be banned in this nation.

In my opinion, it simply boils down to thinking before speaking.. So next time you wanna say something, think it over first.. You don’t want to end-up spending mucho because of what your fowl mouth had said.. So be very careful.. vi-a-v!
